Flowers Are a Wonderful Gift

And I won’t let you convince me otherwise

“The plants have enough spirit to transform our limited vision.” - Rosemary Gladstar

During my morning scrollytime (only after my dedicated AM routine), my timeline led me to a ragebait post arguing that flowers were a terrible gift. I IMMEDIATELY jotted in my notebook why that couldn’t be any further from the truth, and how I would outline that here. Flowers are meant to be cherished. They embellish our everyday lives like a glitter eyeliner, an ornate beaded gown, or a gourmet cupcake enjoyed in the afternoon. When we admire flowers given to us as gifts, from a person or simply from nature's bounty, we get a dopamine rush that gives us a subtle moment of pleasure, instills confidence, and reminds us to live where our feet stand.
